Our sincerest thanks to everyone who made the trek to Helena yesterday for the hearing. It was a very long day, and we all persevered through it. We are sad that many folks were not able to give their personal testimonies, but are grateful to the committee for doing their best to make sure our voices were heard.
It is a shame that the system in this case gives proponents the fresh ears of the committee members and opponents very tired and weary ears.
All of that said, we now must turn our attention to the upcoming events in Helena including a possible blast motion of the compact bill to the house floor with the help of several
republican legislators who are caught up in the power of creating chaos and doing the will of the governor, rather than the will of the people.
We must continue our effort to talk with legislators to convince all legislators to say no to this very bad compact, and your actions over the next two days could very well make the difference between getting a compact or stopping it in the legislature.
With that in mind, we ask you to please contact legislators asking them to vote no on SB262.
