Dear Mr. Chavasse:
Thank you for contacting Pacific Legal Foundation.
We have been following the CSKT Compact controversy for a number of years, and the judgment of our attorneys has been that there is no role for PLF in resolving or litigating the issue. Unfortunately, due to our limited resources, we must decline involvement in many complicated constitutional or political disputes in order to focus on those special cases that may result widely applicable and beneficial precedents.
Thanks again for your interest in Pacific Legal Foundation. I hope you understand the constraints we operate under.
Sincerely,
Brien Bartels

What a disappointment.
What could possibly be more “widely applicable” to the entirety of the western United States than their water and land patents?

It isnt clear to me how this legal system could prohibit objectors from working together, down to the minutest detail, on a defense against this whole thing.
