Please note we’ve added a new page to the blog entitled: LEADERSHIP.
This page is dedicated to reporting where our legislators, local officials, candidates and large organizations within western Montana stand on the water rights compact issue.
As we get public statements from those expected to provide leadership on this important issue, they will be posted to this page. It will be interesting to see if any will be willing to take a stand on it, either PRO or CON.
IF YOU’RE AWARE OF ANY PUBLIC OFFICIALS OR ORGANIZATIONS WHO HAVE TAKEN A POSITION ON THIS ISSUE, PLEASE LET US KNOW WHO THEY MIGHT BE SO WE CAN POST IT OUT HERE FOR THE PUBLIC TO SEE. SO FAR WE’RE NOT AWARE OF ANY.
Rick Hill, Steve Bullock, Jon Tester, Denny Rehberg: Where are you on this issue? Are you even aware of it?
Pam Bucy and Tim Fox, our attorney general candidates, what do you think?
County Commissioners for Lincoln, Flathead, Lake, Sanders, Granite, Mineral, Missoula, Ravalli, Silver Bow, Deer Lodge and Powell counties, are you aware of the compact and what do you think about it?
State Senators and Representatives throughout western Montana, what do you think?
Farmer and Rancher Associations, Realtor Associations and Sportsman and Outdoor Organizations, what about you?
The people you represent are interested in knowing your thoughts on this issue, and we’d like to share it with them.

Hello friends.
I will fight the compact agreement if it gives to any tribe first in use rights over all the water in western Montana. I feel the water is not theirs to give, as it belongs to the individual land owners, as per their fee simple agreements without reservations.
Simply put, I will fight this with all of my ability. Thanks for your help, and God bless Montana.

Thank God, a voice out of the wilderness.
Can people not understand, that those who control the water, have absolute control over the lives of the people and their ability to live their lives without fear. History, is replete with example after example where the people gave up their God given rights and in the end, they lost everything. How is it possible, that the human mind is so devoid of simple, common, sense. Are we really that brain dead, are we so blind we cannot see, so deaf we cannot hear, so devoid of thought we cannot think nor comprehend, so loyally addicted nothing matters. Really, are we walking, breathing, dead and we just don’t know it.
I will fight with all my being to save my neighbor, this I promise.

Thank you Derek Skees. One lonely voice in the darkness.
Where are the rest of our “leaders” and those candidates who aspire to become a leader?
What say you about this compact?
